2021 Slemani filmfest to host Iranian ‘The Kites’

The 2021 Slemani Int’l filmfest in Iraq is to host the Iranian short flick ‘The Kites’.

The 5th edition of the Slemani International Film Festival in Iraq has selected the Iranian short film ‘The Kites’ for screening.

Directed by Seyyed-Payam Hosseini, the short film tells the story of a boy who falls in love with a girl who lives on the other side of the border.

He tries to talk to the girl about her lost kite.

The cast of the short film includes Karo Qavami, Ramiar Qavami, Karo Hasani, Amir Kadkhodaee, and Osman Pira.

The Kites’ has so far taken part in several international festivals including the 2021 edition of the Sapporo International Short Film Festival in Japan, the Busan International Kids and Youth Film Festival ‘BIKY’ in South Korea, the Lebu International Film Festival in Chile, and the Zero Plus International Festival of Films for Children and Youth in Russia.

The Slemani International Film Festival hosts films with different genres from around the world.

The upcoming edition of the event is scheduled for December 17-23, 2021.
